After the remodeling of our home is complete this winter/spring, the clinics will offer overnight spaces for a Friesian clinic-retreat weekend!

FRIESIAN EDUCATIONAL, RIDING & TRAINING CLINIC, Sat/Sun Feb 25 & 26, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., gate opens 9:30 a.m. WITH 11 KFPS FRIESIANS ON SITE, incl. stallion Tropical Rider's Wieger.

10 a.m.-1 p.m. KFPS STALLION SHOW. Review of all 3 days of the KFPS Stallion Show with the latest news, stallion selection process, the show's clinics in review (IBOP, training/showing, breeding, inspections, care), Friesian products from Holland, approved stallions, travel tips for your own show attendance. Q&a.

BREEDING & STALLION SELECTION. Special presentation on breeding, selecting a stallion, stallion indexes, frozen vs. fresh semen, embryo transfer, mare care, and foaling by Rose Hill Friesians. Bring your mare's paper and linear scores! Q&a.

1-2 p.m. Break for lunch & feeding horses. Goodie/gift bags. Q&a.

2-5 p.m. WHAT NO-ONE WILL TELL YOU. Buying & selling tips with unique insights and tips, incl. import v.s. domestic. How to find the right Friesian, what to look for, vetting, papers/ratings/linear scores versus use & enjoyment. Care, grooming & health. Sample riding for trying out the Friesian and prepping for Sunday's training day. Q&a.

11-1 p.m. PRIVATE LESSONS/auditing with training/Friesian-matching tips & goal input. Q&a.

2-3 p.m. KEURING prep & keuring info for all ages & genders. Q&a.

• The KFPS worldwide Friesian registry is not just the recognized, worldwide mother studbook of the Friesian horse but also one of the oldest and most well organized studbooks. We dissect and demystify to help you navigate and make choices for your Friesian dream.
• Responsible Raising & Training the Friesian education to avoid commonly seen and unnecessary pitfalls, including lessons.
• We have the latest info for the savvy, continued education for the intermediate, and a well-rounded introduction for those new to the Friesian breed.
• Each clinic features different topics and consists of 2 weekend days to choose from or attend both: on Saturday education with hands-on sampling and on Sunday a full raising & training day.
• We are dedicated to and promote the KFPS but respect everyone's choice and touch upon all things Friesian.

• Spring - Sat & Sun May 12 & 13, 2012, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday: with special focus on: starting the new 'green' crop under saddle, raising a foal, trimming & shoeing, the latest news, setting up a keuring prep schedule, and of course general breed info with hands-on sample riding and handling. Sunday: fully focused on training with private lessons/auditing and ribbon competition. 
• Summer - Sat & Sun August 4 & 5, 2012, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday: with special focus on summer survival, the final weeks of keuring prep, weaning foals & raising youngsters, the latest news, and of course general breed info with hands-on sample riding and handling. Sunday: fully focused on training with private lessons/auditing and ribbon competition. 
• Fall - Sat & Sun Nov 12 & 13, 2012, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday: all things Friesian, with special focus on preparing for your KFPS Stallion Show trip, winter prep/pregnant-mare care & winter training fun, and of course general breed info with hands-on sample riding and handling. Sunday: fully focused on training with private lessons/auditing and ribbon competition.   

• EARLY-BIRD SPECIAL: send in your paid reservation postmarked by 1-31-12 and receive a $20 discount on either a day sign-up or weekend sign-up, not to be combined with other discounts (see below).
• A member of Anneke's Friesians receives an extra $10 discount on his/her rate.
• $95 per person all in per day or $180 for the weekend.
• If a party includes 2 people or more, each person receives a $10 discount on either the day rate or the value weekend rate on top of the potential AF Membership rate (click for membership details).
• Part of the proceeds go to the Sulphur Springs animal shelter.

• Thu-Sat 3/8-10, Black Magic Friesian entertainment during the UPRA rodeo, spring season opening at the Civic Center in Sulphur Springs TX. Each night at 7:30 the Grand Entry and on Fri eve 3/9 our performance (time slot currently estimated between 8 & 8:15 p.m.). Anneke is now part of the Hopkins County Rodeo Committee.
